SwiftKnowledge utilizes within its technology Apache's Lucene search engine, Quartz job scheduling software and Error Logging Modules and Handlers (ELMAH) error logging facility. Apache Lucene is a high-performance, full-featured text search engine library that provides scalable, high-performance indexing and powerful, accurate and efficient search algorithms. The full-featured Quartz includes many enterprise-class features, such as JTA transactions and clustering, and creates simple or complex schedules for executing tens, hundreds or even tens-of-thousands of jobs whose tasks are defined as standard Java components which execute virtually anything they're programmed to do. ELMAH provides a variety of error-logging capabilities, including logging of nearly all unhandled exceptions, a web page to remotely view the entire log of recoded exceptions and full details of any one logged exception, an email notification of each error at the time it occurs, and an RSS feed of the last 15 errors from the log. |
